Mr. Paul Short killed them all at Gotham Comedy Club Tuesday night. So much so that they've asked him back for a Gay Pride edition of their New Talent Showcase this coming Wednesday! Reserve it and be sure to mention his name!

Mister Paul Short has been working on becoming a stand-up comedian. His debut ("graduation") is tonight! If you've been to his parties, you know the guy is funny (and, well, "funny").
The show is tonight at Gotham Comedy Club (Twenty-third Street, near Seventh Avenue). Reservations are required, so call the club (212-367-9000) to reserve for Paul's showtime (9:30).

FYF friend Paul Short is a bona fide cinephile...at least when it comes to horror flicks.
Not too long ago, when The Hose was still The Hose (now White Noise over on Avenue B), Paul hosted a horror film screening night there either called Cinema De Merde or in association with the same (There was something on the flyer about Sticky Seats, too...which means that may have been the name? Memory fails. Early onset senility?). Well now, come to find out, Cinema De Merde is a website by one Mr. Scott Telek, upon which he has reviewed hundreds and hundreds (maybe? Not so good at math/estimation, either.) of movies for your - the reader's - edification.
While the site is fully usable and stocked with reviews already, Cinema De Merde will be celebrating it's official re-launch with a party at Nowhere Bar on Tuesday, March 22nd where Mr. Short says many B movie celebrities are expected in attendance.
Mr. Telek won this reader over with his deconstruction of Toy Story 3 as a metaphor for the dehumanization of our modern societies. If you're much of an FYF reader you are likely aware I'm a sucker for a good metaphoric exploration of modernity.
Check his out (it's good and so on point!) and the rest of his reviews and join he and Mr. Short and potential B-Movie A-listers (is that possible?) at Nowhere tomorrow night.

He's 1, actually! Here you may have thought a true Daddy would've stopped celebrating birthdays altogether, but THIS Daddy...one SUGAR Daddy (the best kind?), is celebrating his first birthday tomorrow night at Rush. Some regular patrons have decided to give Mama her due as well and are crashing the festivities in drag, dubbing their efforts...guess!...SUGAR MAMA!
Rush is on Sixth Avenue between 16th and 17th. You know...around the corner from Splash!!
Sugar Daddy is Gustavo Motta and Bill Pfeiffer workin' them turntables (or disc changers?) and Paul Short hosting the hell out of the second floor.
Check out the line-up of classic Daddies in the video/music promo below:

Reindeer games, indeed!
Tonight, shop at Limelight with Next Magazine, bring a new toy for the toy drive at David Barton - Astor Place, check out Justin Bond and the Pixie Harlots in Christmas Spells at The Abrons Arts Center and then press to the function at The Chelsea Hotel...Clubber Down Disco, I mean. There's also the aforementioned grand opening of Uncut out in Queens (very Krash circa 2001?).
Tomorrow, don your best Santa suit and join the drunken hordes of Santacon. Make them all stop in at Art Jamboree #3 and buy stuff from your talented artist friends. Later, if you missed Justin and her harlots, they're on again tonight (and until the 18th, in fact! Don't sleep though...they may sell out - or be already!). Afterward, there's a swirl of parties to decide amongst...from Sugar Daddy (see Paul Short's promo photo above.) to Family Function; from Mister Saturday Night to Spank Actions 3-D: Spank's 3 year Anniversary, and from Cheryl: WYZZRD BLYZZRD to Miracle on 36th Street with Steve Travolta, Quentin Harris, Cevin Fisher and DJ MSG and the New York Cares Coat Drive. Choose wisely!
Specially for the hefty set, Bearracuda hits New York for the first time tonight, as well. Apparently, it's the next Blow-off? Better? Something.
Sunday, the Art Jamboree and Justin Bond continue, while Griffin Sundays and 718 Sessions help you keep your blood moving (unless you're too busy posing?).
And that, my friends, is what to do this - the first truly cold weekend of the winter.
For more, hit the FYF Calendar.

The problem with religion is that it just isn't fun or sexy enough. Mister Paul Short set out to solve that at this week's SPIT party at Rush. Themed as "Heroes and Villains of the Bible" (yes, really) the party featured the debut of this untitled Cocksnaut film. Sort of sexy romp through the Stations of the Cross, the film features some faces (and crotches) that may be familiar to you as shot in the exotic Holy Land known as Paul Short's back yard.

At last night's screening of Sleepaway Camp, there was a lot of Buzz in the air. Actually, it was a guy named Buzz who runs CampBlood, a horror movie resource site with a homosexual leaning. With perhaps the most comprehensive list of homo-horror ever, the site is a great resource as Halloween comes up. (And they have a blog!)
Also in attendance? Unkle Spooky (aka Paul Short) and FYF friend Michael T, who regularly hosts horror films all around town (more on this later). Listening to all the horror fans, once home my NetFlix suddenly has lots of Dario Argento and the (perhaps predestined) True Blood.

Paul Short is a beloved nightlife figure, having thrown a long string of successful parties over the years. His most recent effort, last weekend's Sugar Daddy, was successful enough to warrant the party going from one-shot to ongoing. His boisterous personality and showman-like presence are matched only by his humility and charm.
There's a secret side to Paul Short though, and only we have the evidence. Click the image at the left. Ignore the massive bright pink grammatical oddity on the cover. Look to the box in the lower left-hand corner. Now you know.
