We interrupt your regularly scheduled weather report (and by the way what was up with that cold wind last night) to alert you to an actual act of civil disobedience this morning. The group Queer Rising will be congregating at Sixth Avenue and Forty-second Street to stop traffic at 8:30. And "stop traffic" is in the literal sense as they will be unfurling a banner in the middle of the intersection to protest the lack of marriage equality in New York. Get out there and join them. (Wear a lightweight coat and sunglasses for the chilly morning air and sunny sky.)
